# Permissions Groups
Permissions groups (permsGroup
attribute of a Card) are set at the Card Program level and define which features can be used by cards associated to that Card Program.
The following features are available to the cardholder if authorized by the selected Permission Group and enabled in the Card object:
Feature | Definition |
---|---|
NFC | Near Field Communication, allows for payments using short range radio-frequency for making secure payments without card insertion. |
ATM | Automated Teller Machine, allows for withdrawals from cash dispensers. |
Online | Allows for payments online (e-commerce) or over the phone (MOTO). |
Foreign | Allows for payments in countries other than the cardholder's defined country. |
Tip – Correlation between permsGroup
and individual options
The Card object also contains fields to enable the aforementioned features individually. When setting these values, the permsGroup
field is updated accordingly.

- Set the
permsGroup
parameter of the Card to any value enabling both features (e.g.,TRZ-CU-004
). - Activate the options individually by setting the
